of silence for my Creative MP3 player *silence*
Ok, yesterday at approxamitely 4:15pm, my MP3 player met with an unfortunate event. I left work and headed to the restroom to potty before catching the campus shuttle back to my car. I always always always hook up to my music when crossin campus soooo I was jamming when I entered the ladies room. I enter the stall, do the do, and as I turn to do a karate style kick flush…my MP3 player winds up in the toilet! *quadrupal le sigh* My first thought: Oh no! Second thought: Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Final thought: Oh heck naw I paid $90 for this thing, we gone try to save this! So, I pulled it back up by my earphone cord and rushed it to the sink. I had to rinse it off…I just had to. So I did that and then I dried it out and made my way to the bus all the while banging the flash drive against my hand like a smoker does a pack of cigarettes.
Apparently holding it up to the air condition in the car will not bring a MP3 player back to life, it’ll create condensation, but life bringing back..it will not. We had some great times walking across campus and working out at the gym! I pronounced my MP3 player dead at 6:20pm. Another moment of silence *silence*
But there is a fortunate turn of events for me! I’d asked my momma for an ipod for my birthday just last week and she agreed to get me one with part of her refund check! lol! Well, we did some creative financing and I went out yesterday and bought the new love of my life *I’m so fickle* The 1GB Ipod Nano. I also bought an alarm clock radio with banging speakers that playes and charges the music on my ipod. I’m doubly in love. By the time I was done with those purchases and a 2yr warranty on the ipod, I’d dropped $287…but I’m ok with that!
I was up til 11pm transferring my music to itunes, which isn’t that bad but it’s still not that user friendly but we gone work it out!
I lub my ipod! I will never forsake thee!
