Sorta.

Friday evening was fabulous (sp?…you know that rapper ruined it for me *le sigh*). Anyway. Alvin Ailey was great. We got there in time and they were just…just…awesome. The movement called “Fix Me”…lawd, I held my breath the WHOLE time…it was so beautiful and moving. The only little problem we had was that 2 rows in front of us was a woman with an abnormally big head…goodness. We had great seats, we could see the feet and errythang but Ms. dome-amite…lawd. AND it was weird because her body to head ratio was off…she was short but her head soooo BIG. My ma just ended up folding her coat to give her a boost. Did I mention I’m slightly taller than my mom and I’m only 5 ‘ 1 and a half on a good day! lol I took care of my tall person by staring through her rapidly thinning gray hair! lol. The evening was great, although nothing could prepare me for the blood chilling wind when we left *shivering*. Good times.

Saturday…study and run around with my momma.

Sunday… study and go to Super Bowl Party with people I don’t know.
Ok, so my friend P invited my to her church’s Super Bowl Party at Dave&Buster’s. It was an interesting experience. We went to pick up one of her friends from church (A) and headed on to D&B. We got there, I paid my little $10 to get in and discovered it was buffet style. That’s great since I didn’t expect to get fed anyway. They had the room set up with long table and chairs that were too close together to be comfortable BUT there was a big screen so it was ok. I’m an average football fan but I didn’t have a team to root for, so I picked the Colts…I’m so smart lol. Sooooooo, I’m the type of person who is semi ok in big groups. I’m cordial but I won’t just strike up a conversation with someone I don’t know. It soon became an evening of P and church friend, with me trailing thinking “now, who the heck is that!”. Ummm you see, my friend P, had a habit of forgetting to introduce me. Hey, no prob, I’ll introduce myself…which I did on many occasions but it gets tiring. Oh and I refuse to have the momma duck and ducklets sydrome…you know when you see girls move in packs or a line…it’ll be one out in front, the middle one and then the little on following. So not me, sooo middle school. Sooooooo we went out in the pool area to see if we could get a table…no such luck. But P called next and we hung out there for awhile, then she was like “where’s A?” and wandered off. I refused to jump up and follow so I chilled out there for about 10min lookin crazy but it was the principle! I don’t follow…never have. After becoming bored and thinking “I could have had the game on in the backgroud while studying”, I went back into the main area and rejoined P & A. I think P sensed my agitation..I was ready to go. I was sleepy, it wasn’t that exciting of a game until the 4th quarter when #26 scored that touchdown and LOCKED IT UP! After that play I woke up but the 1st three quarters could have been spent doing something else. oh oh and was Prince’s halftime show just…not.that.hot. *shrug* It may just be me on that one. I love Prince but it was lacking something. Needless to say, I don’t think I’ll be going to anymore of her events. I’ve got to know at least 2 or more people or it’s a bust for me. I’m still trying to figure out why I left with a feeling of such agitation…I’ll have to think on that some more.

All in all, it was a good weekend and I know there was a lesson to be learned last night…now if only I can figure it out! lol
