I was in the office looking out the window and saw the neighbor children taking out after their little dog. Two of them I know, ages 6 and 3, the other one I guess was a friend visiting. I quickly made my way outside because after awhile I saw no adult taking off after them. The dog had gone down the street and turned down the dead end. What the children probably didn’t know is there is a German Shepard at the dead end that can jump his fence. How do I know this, well the dog has gotten out repeatedly and attacked my dog. He was NOT finna attack the children. I calmly made my way down to them and told them to come back. Thankfully I had some authority cause I’d baby sat several times for those neighbors.

I guided them back up the street as my mom got done alterting their parents. After a word of thanks from their mom, she lit into them like NOBODY’S business. Me and my mom quietly left and let her beat dat ass! They knew they weren’t suppose to go any further than the next door neighbors yard but in the excitement they took off after the dog.

After I calmed down myself, I realized I’d turned into one of those “it takes a village neighbors”, which is a good thing but once that 6 yr old turns 16, she’s bound to say “Yeah, I remember that day you got me beat!”. Tis life, it takes a whole villiage.
