#1 School. WHEN will it be over! Sweet Jeebus lead me on! Ya’ll this semester has NOT been the hotness. I haven’t learned notta nerrr thang and all my classes are departmental finals…yep, I’m screwed. Good thing I’m not trying to hold on to a scholarship. Hope said bye bye back during my sophmore year. The only thing that bums me is that my GPA is gonna take a hit but it may still be good enough to pledge a Business Frat in the fall.
I got 2weeks of classes and 1 week of finals left. Pray hard.
Non school stuff:
~ I’m looking forward to my summer excursion. I know I never finished telling ya’ll about my Gr.ey*hou.nd ride but I’ve got like 8pgs of notes and it’s a little intimidating right now. How bout this? After saturday May 5th, the day of my last two finals, I’ll type the whole thing up in one post and be done with it! And yes, if you are human calendar, I do have two finals on a SATURDAY…one at 8am and the other blessed event at 12:30…stoopid bidness skool.
~ I just found out, for sure, that my lil cuz is gone help me drive out to the ARK. I finally talked to him last night and gave him a run down. I’m glad I did cause he was shocked that my uncle was gone have him doing so much networking. I’m glad I got to warn him that yes, this may be a vacay, but during the day, you gone put in some work. I also hipped him to the fact that he’s doing some driving and I’ll need some gas money! Shoot, I know I invited him along but TANSTAAFL my nucca! lol. Ummm yeah, I’ve officially been in school too long. TANSTAAFL is what I learned in one of my Econ classes: There Ain’t No Such Thing As A Free Lunch…TANSTAAFL….and that’s the term too. When I read it in my textbook, I was like, shouldn’t that be more philisophical or at least correct english! lol
~ I just got M.a*d.e.a’s: Do.n’t M.ake a Bla+ck Woman Ta.ke Off Her Ea.rri.ngs on audiobook. I’d bought the hardcover form when it first came out and was a bit displeased. I thought it was good advice but the laughability factor was not there. I ended up re-gifting it for someones bday *blinking..what? She wanted the book!* Now that he has recorded the book in her voice, it adds what it was missing in tangible form. It should do triple the sales of the hard cover.
~ Social life? Ain’t got one. lol. Tis a shame. Alot of my friends went out of state or are more than 2hrs away at school or working jobs. I used to hang out alot with my other cousin, then she graduated and got a job and is trying to make an impression there. I have been keeping in touch with a young man. He’s nice, we don’t get to talk much cause I’m busy. Ya see, I used to talk to this one dude that wanted me to call him ALL the time. That mess is tiresome and time consuming. I ain’t got that kind of time. With this new young man, he went to school himself, so he knows that I don’t have all the time in the world to just be holding the phone. PLUS, he got a job and knows he doesn’t have any business on the phone til midnight when he has to be to work by 6am…not up at 6am…actually in the building at 6am. Smart dude. Soooo I’m glad I don’t have to talk to him all the time. Shoot, sometimes I don’t want to be bothered with thinking about another person and having to remember to call. LOL. See, that’s why my behind is gonna be single! lol.
~ Oh! I’m typing this from my new laptop! I purchased an HP dv6205. It has Windows Vista of course but we’re getting along. I did have my first glitch where it locked a document and i couldn’t edit it but I put the smack down on it and it corrected itself. lol. I upgraded to 1GB of ram b/c 512 wasn’t getting it. Windows Vista is very graphic intense so it was reaaaaaaal slugggggish. But I’m enjoying my laptop. It has hot buttons to control the DVD and sound BUT it also came with a remote the tucks neatly into the side. I got a good deal on it and accumulated $230 in rebates so I’m happy.
~ I think that’s it. For the next two weeks I’ll be cramming for finals and wondering if God will put more on me than I can bear….He won’t but goodness it seem like the load is heavy. My mind won’t be present, it’ll already be in ARK but that’s expected. I’m so excited! I’ve never done anything like this before. I didn’t got to camp as a child so the longest I was away from home was maybe 2weeks. This should be interesting!
Serenity …Lord don’t let me gain 10lbs between now and finals…Amen. lol
