WHERE did the time go? Hmmm, anyone? *lookin around*
I’m a year older and hopefully a year wiser.
We woke up in very nice Inn on the campus of O.l.e. M.i.s.s. I got up. thank the Lord for another year and decided I’d get my campus walk on.
YA’LL…..YA’LLLLLLLLLLL……it.was.HOT. I’m talkin 12 degrees past hell..I’m talkin in the FIELD SLAVE HOT. I broke a sweat before I got to the end of the driveway. But I’m a trooper, a soldier *pound to the chest…wheeze* I kept it moving! I had my trusty friend GiGi(camera) with me and we proceeded to have a blast!
We walked around and photographed the different buildings. I began to wonder where the student union was located and kind of wandered up on it. Ya’ll, when I opened the door, I heard angels singing….AIR CONDITION! It was beautiful, after that I decided to stop playin and take my tail back to the hotel! Also my cuz was done handling her business.
We went from there to the Cra.cker Bar.rel and it was like a blast from the past. I hadn’t stepped foot in a Cra.cker. Barr.el in like 8yrs! I kid you not! Anywho, I ordered a chicken sammich and when it came out, it didn’t look to appetizing, sooooo I sent it back! Now it wasn’t like we were the only ones in there, the place was packed! It didn’t matter, I was not finna eat that mess! It was bad ya’ll….hmmm, I’m using ya’ll alot…maybe cause it’s 1:47am as I type this.
We went from there on up to Jackson (2hr drive) where I did a BRIEF tour of Touga.loo and I do mean brief. Ya’ll <—hee hee, it was 14 degrees past hell outside. It was that instant irritablility hotness. So I opted for the car instead of takin a stroll with my cuz and her boo. From there we proceeded to check into the hotel. Once here, I got to chill while my cuz ran around the city with her man.
Ok, so the hotel we’re in advertises wireless internet…umm no…they should change that to “phantom signal”…lawd. You can connect to their wireless but their wireless isn’t connecting to the internet…phantom.signal. I asked the deck lady about it she said “I use to go back there and unplug and plug it back in, but I don’t feel like doing that”. SCHREEEEEEEEEEEEEECH! You mean to tell me that you’re providing a service…a service I’m paying for through the payment for the room and YOU AIN’T EVEN GONNA TRY TO FIX IT! She lost hella cool points for that one.
Moving on….
After trying to calm the shakes from internet withdrawl, I come back to room and watch mindless drivel on the boob tube. Cuz calls and it’s time to Rollllll out! I’m tired so we’ll wrap this up..ok…ooooooooooooook. We went to dinner, kicked with some of my cuz’s college buddies. The food was decent, the drank was excellentay, and the company was HILARIOUS! We left dinner and wound up at one of my cuz’s friend apts, playin pool and kickin it.
I had a lovely time on my bday! This will be one that I won’t forget!
