Motivators. Haters stay home. Calling all motivators.
*huge sigh* I have been at this school thing for 5yrs and I fear I am burning out. No scratch that, I’m getting lazy. If I have to read one more damn boring azz business book, I will peel my skin off..layer.by.layer. Enough of that…
I’ve just been at this soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long and about a year ago I realized it’s not a major I enjoy. I’ve got the aptitude but it’s not something I’m excited about. What a thing to discover when you’ve been at it so long. Alot people say “well change your major!” Nope, I’m not a quitter and I went through HELL passing accounting. I will not throw that away. After this current semester, if I remain a full time student, I’m a year away from graduation…fall 2008.
I’m trying to integrate fun extracurricular activities so that the semester doesn’t seem SO boring and I think it’ll help. We’ll see.
I think the biggest thing I need to work on is my attitude towards school right now. They say if you go in expecting the worst, it will happen. I’m fighting for an attitude adjustment. I really am.
So here we go…
Why school is important:
1. I need a degree to get a decent job.
2. I don’t wanna be a bum…I’m too cute for that.
3. degree=money. It’s proven that those without a college degree make significantly less over thier lifetime.
4. I don’t wanna be a bum
5. I want to work SMART not HARD. I know that from watchin my dad..that’s one thing he told me “get your education so you don’t have to work hard like me…work smart, not hard.”
6. I don’t wanna be a bum
7. I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeealllly don’t wanna be a bum
Well, tomorrow is work and school annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd SALSA! 1 2 3, 5 6 7!

Yeah girl, we’ve all been there. I was SO over my degree when I reached the halfway point, but I had gone too far to go back. Once I finished, I wanted nothing to do with it. And now……I’ve come full circle and am working back in my field of study. Hmph.
School sucks, especially if you hate what you’re doing. But it has its purpose, and if you can keep that (and your graduation date) in mind……you can make it, no problem!
Time flies when you’re having fun, so have some fun!
